1. Information We Collect
We collect the email address and authentication information used for your account, along with the trading, journal, playbook, goal, report, portfolio, preference, and import information you choose to enter.
CSV files are processed to import trades. SetMetric does not retain the raw CSV file, but imported trades and relevant import history may be stored. For eligible imports, limited column-structure and format information may be sent to SetMetric to improve format recognition; raw rows and trade values are excluded.
To understand how SetMetric is used and to improve it, SetMetric records first-party product usage events for your account: which pages and features you use, estimated active time, import steps and outcomes (including which broker's file format you chose), upgrade prompts you see or select, and broad error categories. Each event also records the platform (such as web) and a session identifier kept in your browser's local storage. These events never include your trades, symbols, amounts, notes, journal text, Metric questions, file names, or error messages, and they are not sold or shared with advertisers or third-party analytics services.
SetMetric combines these usage events with account information it already holds—your sign-up date; your plan, subscription, and checkout status; whether and when you imported or recorded trades; and counts of your Metric requests and saved conversations (never their content)—to produce reports about feature adoption, onboarding, retention, and upgrades. You can turn product usage analytics off, and delete what was collected, in Settings → Privacy. Raw usage events are kept for about 90 days, session summaries for about six months, and daily summaries for about two years; administrator access to individual usage data is limited and logged.
If you chat with support in the app, SetMetric stores your messages and our replies with your account so the conversation can continue; SetMetric administrators can read them to help you. Please don't include passwords, broker credentials, or account numbers.
You may also upload private image attachments and an avatar, subject to the limits shown in the product. If you subscribe, we receive limited billing information such as subscription status and billing interval—not your full payment-card details.

•
Respond to support, privacy, legal, and billing questions.
3. Service Providers
SetMetric uses Supabase for authentication, data storage, and hosted service functions. Stripe processes payments and manages hosted Checkout and billing tools. These providers process information under their own terms and privacy practices.
Share Snapshots are generated on your device and are shared only when you choose to download, copy, or distribute them.
Metric, SetMetric's AI trading analyst, is an optional Premium feature. Some questions to Metric are answered by SetMetric's own calculations on your data; those questions are not sent to an AI model. When you request an analysis, or Metric needs one to answer, SetMetric sends your question and a minimized, structured summary of the relevant trading data to Cloudflare Workers AI to generate the response. The summary contains calculated metrics and selected trade and journal details, which may include text you entered in trade notes or journal entries. SetMetric excludes identifiers the analysis does not need, such as real trade IDs, account and portfolio names, broker identifiers, and authentication credentials. Earlier questions and answers in a Metric conversation are not sent. Cloudflare processes this information under its own terms and privacy practices. SetMetric's AI usage records store request metadata, such as time, status, model, and token counts—not your question, the summary sent, or the generated answer. Metric also records routing metadata, such as whether a question was answered by a calculation or an AI analysis—not the question or the answer.
Metric conversations are saved to your account so you can reopen them. A saved conversation contains its title; your questions; Metric's answers as they were shown, including the calculated figures, explanatory text, and account or portfolio name needed to display them again; for trades an answer cites, the trade's SetMetric ID, symbol, date, and net result so you can open them; a small conversation context, such as the period and the symbol, setup, or playbook being discussed; and timestamps. SetMetric does not copy into saved conversations your trade or journal records, the full summary sent for an AI analysis, your trade notes or journal text, images, broker credentials, authentication credentials or tokens, or the AI model's instructions or internal reasoning. Answers are saved as shown, so if an answer described something you wrote, that wording is part of the saved answer.
4. Storage and Security
Data may be stored on your device and in Supabase. SetMetric also uses browser local storage for workspace data, preferences, caches, backups, and pending work; these values are not all cookies. Clearing browser storage can remove local-only data.
User media is private and uses signed access links where applicable. We use reasonable safeguards, but no online service can guarantee absolute security. SetMetric does not currently use third-party behavioral advertising, behavioral analytics, or crash-reporting tools.
We retain information as needed to provide and protect the service and meet applicable obligations. Support chat conversations remain until you delete the conversation in the chat or delete your account. Saved Metric conversations remain until you delete them: you can delete a single conversation, delete all Metric history from Account Settings, or delete your account, which also deletes them. Some deletion is asynchronous. Trades you delete in SetMetric use soft deletion: the trade record and its executions are hidden from the app but retained in our database until you delete your account (images attached to a deleted trade are removed separately). You can permanently delete your SetMetric account and associated account data from Account Settings. Certain billing, security, audit, or legal records may be retained where required or permitted.
5. Your Choices and Data
You can review and update information in the product, export a workspace backup on every plan, turn product usage analytics off or delete the usage data already collected in Settings → Privacy, delete your support chat conversation, delete saved Metric conversations individually or all at once, and permanently delete your account from Account Settings. You control the content and images you add and the Share Snapshots you distribute. Contact us for other access, correction, privacy, or deletion questions.
6. Age Requirement
SetMetric is intended only for people age 18 or older.
7. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy as SetMetric or applicable requirements change. We will post the updated policy here with a revised effective date.
